As a teenager, growing up in church, Isaac Friedel had a dream of one day playing baseball professionally. While at St. Rose High School, Isaac excelled, receiving all-state honors and a full baseball scholarship to play Division One baseball at the University of Maryland Baltimore County. While at UMBC, Isaac’s dream of playing baseball began to slow, but God was getting ready to reveal a NEW Dream. A BIGGER Dream. In 2006, Isaac was invited to work and serve under Pastor Matthew Barnett at the Los Angeles Dream Center. The experience changed his life forever. After dedicating his life to the Lord at the LA Dream Center, God began to light a new fire in Isaac to bring the LA Dream Center’s transforming concepts to the lost and hurting families of the Jersey Shore. Isaac didn’t really know where to start, so he began simply walking the streets of inner-city Asbury Park, handing out bottles of water every Saturday. In March of 2012, Pastor Isaac and CEO Anthony Megaro stepped out again in faith and officially incorporated the Jersey Shore Dream Center. Since their incorporation, the Jersey Shore Dream Center has grown exponentially, serving thousands of families each year throughout the Jersey Shore. Pastor Isaac is currently Lead Pastor at Shore Christian Church in Asbury Park, NJ. Isaac and his wife Diamond, who he met in 2006 at the LA Dream Center, reside in Wall, NJ with their children, Judah, Lily, and Dewey.e

Marie Butler, a native of Monmouth County, became involved with Shore Christian Center in 1984. Her service to the church family included many summers of running Vacation Bible School, leading Life Groups, serving as Director of the Children's Ministry, and much more, while raising her five children with husband of 45 years, Kevin. Marie has served faithfully since the JSDC inception in 2012. For the last several years, she has focused her energy on service around food insecurity of local families, delivering food in Asbury Park and Ocean Grove, Wall Township, Belmar and others as part of the food truck team weekly. She also prepares meals monthly for the residents of the Del Monte Rooming House, where she has built relationships with the residents and brings encouragement and Truth along with a warm meal. Marie is excited to take on this added level of responsibility as she feels the love and service the Dream Center provides to the area is needed now more than ever. "This community has been a blessing to my family for over 30 years and I am grateful for the opportunity to partner further to ensure the Dream Center continues to thrive as we seek to be a light to the Shore."
